Invitation to Virtual Meeting

Dear Residents                                                                         9th November 2020

I hope that you are all well and would like to welcome you to the next Residents’ Association meeting on Friday, 11th December which will start at 7 pm

I shall be chairing the meeting as I have taken over from Tony who has been a superb Chair since the beginning of our Association, but has now decided to stand down as he has too many personal and work commitments to continue.

Three years ago I invited Mr.Alastair Tod of the Civic Society and Royal Tunbridge Wells Town Forum and Cllr. Peter Lidstone to update us on the future housing development in Tunbridge Wells particularly on 3 sites near to us, Caenwood Farm, Smockham Farm and Culverden Stadium. We will update you on this matter.

We will also discuss the Emergency Active Travel temporary road closure on Reynolds Lane which was put into place on 16th September for 18 months under the Traffic Orders Procedure (Coronavirus)(Amendment)(England)Regulations 2020, to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Reynolds Lane between St. Gregory’s Catholic School and “Squirrels” at the other end of the lane near Culverden Down.  We welcome your feedback as to the success of the scheme in preventing through traffic.  As well as update you on KCC plans for the second tranche of the scheme.

Do please join the Zoom meeting as it will be a good opportunity to say hello and seasons’ greetings to our neighbours.

Best wishes

Cllr. Marguerita Morton                                                       Mr. Tony Mole
