2020 has been an incredibly difficult year and many people have been left isolated and vulnerable. 

As your local councillors we have put together a few useful contact details should you, a friend or relative need some support.

Council Tax Reduction Scheme

If you are on a low income you may be able to qualify for up to 80% discount on your Council Tax Bill.

Test and Trace Support Payment

The government has announced the new Test and Trace Support Payment for people on a low income who must self-isolate and cannot work from home during this period.

People who are eligible will receive a lump sum payment of £500.

If you are eligible all claims must be made within 14 days of your self-isolation period having come to an end.

Clinically extremely vulnerable (CEV)

You can register yourself, or on behalf of someone else, to request access to a priority supermarket delivery slot, plus gain additional support for your needs. Full details are available via the Council Website, however, if you don’t have access to the internet please call 01892 554497 (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm).

While it is possible to do so, Age UK Tunbridge Wells aims to provide community support to residents of Tunbridge Wells and surrounding areas who are isolated and have no other means of help. This might include, but is not limited to, a hot meals delivery service and a shopping delivery service.
